Product walkthrough for the whole engineering team
Standalone broadcast. No ringing. Watchers drop in and out.

Lila is about to walk the engineering team through the new component library. She opens the "#engineering" team chat room in DeskTrust. Twelve members are visible in the sidebar.

Instead of clicking Call (which would ring everyone), she clicks the purple 🖥 icon in the room header — the standalone screen broadcast button. Browser prompts her to pick a screen. She picks her Figma window.

A purple banner appears at the top of everyone's #engineering room: "🖥 Lila is sharing a screen · Join". Their tabs don't flash. Nobody's interrupted. Nobody's forced to do anything.

Three engineers who happen to be free click Join. They see Lila's Figma at full quality, no cameras, no audio (audio isn't enabled on broadcasts in v1). Lila's header shows "3 watching".

She starts walking through the button component. Types quick explanations in the chat thread underneath the video window (chat and broadcast coexist). Watchers react with 👀 and 👍 as she goes.

Two more engineers finish their tasks and drop in mid-way. Watcher count updates to 5 on Lila's side. Nobody has to catch them up — they can see what Lila is currently showing and read scrollback in the chat.

One engineer needs to hop to a customer call. He clicks Leave on his broadcast view. He's back in the chat with no interruption. Lila's count drops to 4.

She wraps up. Types "any questions?" in the chat. Nobody has any. She clicks "Stop broadcasting". The banner disappears from every watcher's room. She's done.

Why broadcasts, not calls
- • Calls interrupt. Broadcasts don\'t — nobody\'s tab flashes.
- • Watchers self-select. If it\'s not for you, don\'t click Join.
- • Real work stays possible. Nobody\'s stuck in a meeting they didn\'t need.
- • Late arrivals aren\'t "behind" — they see the current frame + scrollback chat.
